About onshore jobs
Plenty of seafarers come ashore after years on board, and the employers advertising here want exactly that background: a chief engineer’s knowledge in a technical office, an ETO’s at a wind turbine, a master’s on a terminal. Every onshore advert names its place of work, the city and the country, so you can see at once whether it means moving.
Each advert still names a rank, the one whose experience the job asks for, so you can filter by your own. Contracts ashore are more often permanent than trip by trip, and the advert says which. Your sea service is already in your profile, with its ranks and vessel types, so the company sees the career behind your application without a separate CV.
